Android Developer

TuneWiki is looking for a great developer to work on cutting edge Android apps related to gaming and music. Our Flagship application "TuneWiki" won first prize out of over 17,000 entries in the first Google Android Development Challenge.

As an Android developer for TuneWiki you will be working with a team to develop various music applications and games. Your work will be preloaded and shipped on Android smartphones right from the factory and downloaded by millions of others!


Required skills:
  • Strong object oriented development experience
  • Android development experience
  • Self motivated with a passion for technology
  • C++ and JNI experience a plus
  • OpenGL or other graphics development experience a plus

iPhone Developer

TuneWiki is currently hiring developers to work on cool iPhone apps related to gaming and music. Our Flagship application "TuneWiki" is available on the iPhone app store currently and we have several more "in the works".

Required skills:
  • Knowledge of Objective-C programming language, iOS 3 & 4 frameworks, and general object-oriented concepts
  • Knowledge of iOS development tools: Xcode 3 or 4, Interface Builder, Instruments (desired)
  • Familiarity with distributed version control systems: git (highly desired), familiarity with svn is also acceptable
  • Familiarity with web services programming: forming API requests and parsing JSON or XML responses

Senior Software Engineer

TuneWiki's software engineers develop our next-generation technology used to provide lyric based services to millions of users. We hire software engineers with a broad set of skills who are ready to solve complex and interesting challenges. Our engineer's are using their talent to improve and innovate information retrieval, system scalability, and improve the overall user experience.

We are looking for a senior software engineer in and around the Dayton, OH area. You will be involved with the following engineering processes including software development, system architecture, release engineering, and performance profiling. You will also be working with other engineering teams like research and development and mobile client development to design and deploy system-wide improvements.


Required skills:
  • BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science
  • Extensive programming experience in PHP and one or more of the following: C/C++, Java/C#, Javascript/AJAX
  • Strong Object Oriented skills preferred including design patterns
  • Strong database knowledge and experience including (de-)normalization, ETL, and NOSQL
  • A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design
  • Familiarity with GIT and JIRA.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies
  • Ability to mentor
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work with virtual staff
  • Can create usable documentation
  • Can use Linux, Mac, and Windows (in that order)
  • Knowledge of mobile programming (iOS and/or Android)
